We took action for the environment on Earth Day
As a waste management company, we believe that our responsibility in creating a sustainable future extends beyond simply processing waste. We must also take an active role in caring for and protecting the soil and the environment, which is why we organize regular cleanup campaigns in the Kostolne Kračany area and throughout the region.
Alongside action, however, acquiring knowledge is also important, which is why on April 22, Earth Day, we participated in a conference at the Eko Rege Farm near Bánovce nad Bebravou, where we met people driven by a common goal: the restoration and protection of our soil. All this while ensuring that the regeneration of degraded soils can take place without mechanical intervention or the use of chemicals.
We believe that to successfully manage agriculture, we must first understand the nature of the soil. While most biomass today ends up in biogas plants, an increasing percentage of the soil relies on synthetic fertilizers – in our view, this path is unsustainable.
To ensure we possess the knowledge needed to create a green future and are prepared for future challenges, we work every day to improve in key areas and encourage our community to do the same.
